Two remarkable Scottish bickers intricately constructed from staves of beech and alder wood, bound to the outside with finely woven willow.

 Both pieces are of exhibition quality and are feather jointed. The larger is inlaid with heart motifs to the base which is hollow and retains its original rattling peas. Circa 1900.
